This coffee table features a slab of Redwood burl- a unique and highly sought-after type of wood. Burls are the result of a tree's response to stress, injury, or infection. This particular species, Sequoia sempervirens, is prized for its beauty, rarity, and the stunning patterns and colors they exhibit. We chose to accentuate the naturally warm, rich tones of the wood by filling the internal voids with resin of a marbled amber hue.
The base of this coffee table has a unique brushed copper paint finish reminiscent of the colors found in the resin. This gives the underside of this table a subtle yet absolutely breathtaking undercarriage..
